Estelle Garcia Blanco (b. 1995) lives and works Brussels (BE). She is a textile artist working with feathers and reclaimed materials. She holds an MFA in Textile Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Brussels (2022) and trained as a featherworker at Maison Lemarié, part of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art in Paris.

Like a courtship ritual, the disjointed bodies of these birds confront each other. They swagger and shove, their bodies gradually weakening.
It's easy to see that this amorous confrontation is meant to be destructive : will see what remains after the dance.
